The PanaFlow Z1G flow meter is the latest of a new generation of Panametrics ultrasonic flow meters. It is a single-path wetted meter designed specifically for accurate and dependable measurements in gas applications. Designed for well-head flow measurements, such as coal bed methane, bio gas or any gas with high levels of impurities, the Z1G is engineered to the highest levels of reliability and built to handle difficult process conditions.

  

Reliability by design

The Z1G flow meter utilizes Panametrics’ robust ultrasonic transducer technology proven in thousands of flare gas applications over three decades. Employing high powered transducers, the ultrasonic signal is capable of penetrating extreme fluid and process conditions, such as condensates, coal fines or pipe scale, to deliver a highly reliable, continuous flow measurement. Coupled with a rugged, industrial interface, the Z1G can be mounted in remote areas and withstand the harshest environmental conditions.

  

Advanced performance

The Z1G flow system couples a dependable, industrial-designed electronics to the cast meter body, providing a rugged, compact, and easy-to-use flow meter. By enclosing the transducers, cables, and junction boxes, the Z1G minimizes the possibility of environmental impacts or accidental user interference affecting the flow measurement. The cast body features no welds and highly accurate machined surfaces allowing the Z1G to provide accurate flow measurements even under low flow conditions. The Z1G flow meter features a high turndown ratio to reliably measure the flow rate which fluctuates over the lifecycle of the gas well.

  

Low cost of ownership

The ultrasonic technology on the Z1G provides a flow measurement with no pressure drop, no restriction in the pipe and no moving parts – eliminating impacts to the process or possible damage to the flow meter. Unlike traditional, non-ultrasonic type of flow meters, the Z1G allows you to monitor and optimize your production asset without the burden of an intensive maintenance and upgrade program.
